Limuru, Kenya: A team of 80 armed security officers have been dispatched to a graduation ceremony at the St Paul University in Limuru following a terror attack scare Friday morning.
It is reported that a message was sent to a senior police officer occasioning the evacuation.The 22nd graduation ceremony was shortly interrupted earlier and the gathering evacuated after claims that an Al shabaab militant was in the crowd.
Police combed the venue and declared it safe before allowing the ceremony to resume.
Education Cabinet Secretary Prof Jacob Kaimenyi is the chief guest.
